Email & anti-abuse policy
In short: grandefamily.us sends personal email only, written one message at a time by members of our family. We don’t send to lists or do marketing, we monitor bounces and complaints, and we act on every abuse report sent to postmaster@grandefamily.us.
What this domain is for
Our addresses are for everyday personal correspondence: family, friends, and the people and organizations we deal with in ordinary life, such as schools, doctors, and businesses we’re customers of. The domain is not used for any business, organization, or commercial activity.
How we send
- One at a time. Each message is written and sent individually by a family member.
- Only to people who expect to hear from us: people we know, or people and organizations who have written to us or asked us to get in touch.
- No lists and no marketing: no newsletters, announcements to large lists, or automated campaigns.
- No purchased, rented, shared, or scraped address lists. Ever.
- If someone asks us to stop writing, we stop.
Bounces and complaints
- We monitor bounces and complaints for the mail we send.
- If an address bounces, we correct it or stop using it.
- If anyone objects to our mail, we stop mailing them.
Rules for family members
Everyone with a grandefamily.us address agrees to:
- use it for personal correspondence only, not for business, promotion, or fundraising;
- never send unsolicited bulk email or chain letters;
- honor any request to stop emailing someone; and
- keep their account credentials private and tell the postmaster right away if they suspect misuse.
Reporting abuse
If you received unwanted email sent from a grandefamily.us address, or something that looks like phishing or impersonation, please email postmaster@grandefamily.us. Please include:
- the full message headers (your mail program’s “show original” or “view message source” option), and
- a short note describing the problem.
A family member reads every report, and we aim to respond within two business days. We’ll investigate, stop any unwanted mail, and let you know what we found.
